The Ford Mondeo. After achieving praise in the United States as one of the most beautiful Fords ever built, the team at City Ford Sydney cannot wait to drive a Mondeo.
2017 Mondeo General Features
Rear View Camera
Reverse like you have eyes in the back of your head. The Rear View Camera lets you clearly see what’s behind you, while the beep of the rear parking sensors tells you how close you are. The system even automatically turns down your music so you can hear the beeps clearly.
8-inch colour touchscreen
The crystal clear 8-inch capacitive touchscreen is more responsive than ever before, operating just like your smartphone with familiar controls like swipe to scroll and pinch to zoom.
Just say the word. SYNC® 3 does the rest. Use simple voice commands to make calls, play music and use satellite navigation^. SYNC® 3 also includes Ford ApplinkTM which allows you to launch and voice control many of your favourite mobile apps from your paired and connected smartphone#.
^ Not all SYNC®3 features are supported on all phones, for a full compatibility list see www.ford.com.au/sync
# Ford AppLink TM is available on selected SYNC® models and is compatible with select smartphone platforms. Check your local road rules before using.
Rear Inflatable Seat Belts
These seat belts provide extra protection for outer passengers in the back. They distribute the force of an impact across a wider area of the torso and help support the head and neck. They are also designed to hold people in the correct seating position, which can help reduce the risk of injury in a front or side impact.
Mondeo Trend Hatch Petrol
Lane Keeping Aid.
By monitoring road markings, this system detects if you appear to unintentionally move out of your lane. If you do, your steering wheel will vibrate to warn you*. If lane departure continues it will also direct you back into your lane by applying steering torque, unless your indicator is on.
Adaptive Cruise Control
Cruise Control is great on the open road. But, even here, you can find traffic. So instead of having to turn the system on and off, the Mondeo adapts*. Sensors scan the traffic ahead, updating their positions 20 times a second. If they sense that traffic has slowed, your vehicle will slow also. When the traffic clears, it returns to your pre-set speed.
Pre-Collision Assist with Pedestrian Detection
Designed to help you avoid a front-end collision, the system uses radar and camera technology to scan the road ahead. If a vehicle or pedestrian is detected, the system gives you a visual and audible warning. And if you don’t respond in time, your Mondeo brakes for you*^.
*Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s judgement. Functiond may not operate in some driving and road conditions. ^May help avoid or minimise the impact of a collision. It is not a substitute for driver alertness. Function may not operate in some driving and road conditions.
Fit more in a Mondeo.
The once humble wagon, a compromise for a lack of boot space in the 90’s and 00’s, is now a premium body style for Australian drivers. The all new Ford Mondeo revolutionises how the public visualises a wagon. Including features such as Active Park Assist, Keyless Entry plus Start and an Aston Martin designed front grille, the Ford Mondeo can now beautifully carry more luggage than you would ever need.
With Bluetooth®* and voice control, you can keep in touch with your friends without your hands leaving the steering wheel. Change iPod tracks by simply telling your Mondeo the genre of music you feel like. But with the additon of SYNC2 your Ford Mondeo keeps you safe when you no longer can. By phoning emergency services and deploying your GPS coordinates when you are unresponsive in an accident
The first EcoBoost engine, was an tremendous engineering acomplishment. Cars that traditionally required 3 litre V6 engines were reduced to 2 litre 4 cyclinders without sacrificing power, yet saving you at the bowser. Now the already amazing 2 litre EcoBoost engine has been redefined and re-energised to a meer 1.5 litre wonder, producing 133kWs and using only 8.4L/100kms* Proof that biggest isn’t always the best.
Push Here to Park
Press a button and All New Mondeo will parallel park and you don’t even need to steer. Unlike expensive camera-based systems, Active Park Assist uses sensors around the car and Electric Power Assist Steering to guide the vehicle into place. It measures the length and depth of the parking space you’ve chosen and then steers itself in, while you control the accelerator, brake and gears. Finding that perfect park, infact, any park in Sydney just got a whole lot easier.
